I suppose the reason I was so upset that Gaga didn’t win any grammys this year is because Born This Way is the album that’s truly a representation of who Gaga is, what she is about, and what she wants to accomplish. How could such a raw talent and love go unrewarded? But I gave up on being angry because Gaga doesn’t do this for the money, the fame, or the validation. She does it for the rest of the monsters in the world, she does it to let us know that we are not alone, we’ve never been alone, and we are all beautiful. We are the reward she deserves, not a piece of shiny metal with little meaning to it other than the status quo recognizing it as a badge of “achievement”. She is my queen, and I can not be so angry when my queen is as fabulous as this.
